Rachel is a PR Assistant at BlueSky Education.
With an impressive academic and journalistic background, Rachel brings the ideal experience to her role in education PR.
Boasting an Undergraduate Degree in Sociology from the University of Kent and a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from Anglia Ruskin University, she has a personal understanding of the inner workings of universities, which she subsequently built on in her career as a staff writer and editor prior to BlueSky Education.
Having researched trends, utilised SEO and written online content on technology, gaming and other hot topics, Rachel’s previous work experience means that she brings a keen knowledge in identifying genuinely interesting and engaging stories to benefit her clients. She knows how to promote products and services.
She has written guides, breaking news, features and reviewed products.
Rachel also understands precisely how to work at an international level. Beyond conducting interviews in Japan and America, Rachel is both British and Dutch, and therefore multilingual. She’s travelled widely and loves experiencing different cultures and lifestyles.
Rachel’s own valuable experience in higher education ensures she personally understands the researchers she supports today. Her involvement in various modules and projects, including studying environmental measures taken by small businesses, fed her passion for being eco-friendly as well as sparking a deep respect for academic research. Research that she now ensures is seen by exactly the right audiences through targeted media coverage.
